Are You Clairsentient?Clairsentient psychics come from all walks of life and have a wide variety of gifts and abilities. Some of those gifts and abilities might be just what people think of when they picture psychic abilities. Others are lesser known. Clairsentience is among the lesser known abilities.

Clairsentience means “clear feeling.” It’s a psychic’s ability to receive impressions and information through emotions, feelings, and physical sensations. If you experience feelings about people, situations, things, or places, you may be clairsentient!

A clairsentient might give a friend a hug and sense their sadness or joy before the friend even says a word. They may pass near a homeless person and experience loneliness or pains of hunger. They may feel emotions when viewing intense news stories or movies. Some even pick up on inexplicable vibes when they handle objects at antique stores.

It’s possible that you are clairsentient and you don’t even realize it! Have you ever felt the physical or emotional pain of others, or noticed you somehow gain accurate instincts about people, situations, or places?

Do you find it overwhelming to be around people because you experience so many feelings, or quickly get drained when you’re in crowds? Can you sense the energy in a room, or perceive spirits?

If you’ve experienced these things, you probably are clairsentient. And now you know, you can begin to gain an understanding of your ability.

It would really suck to feel stuff all the time. But thankfully, that isn’t what being clairsentient is. There are different ways to receive clairsentient information. The most common way is through your emotions.

Other people’s emotions can feel as real as your own. So it’s important to acknowledge your clairsentient ability, and learn techniques to help tone things down. Once your abilities become more developed, you’ll learn to discern where all the feelings are coming from.

Another way clairsentients receive messages is through physical feelings and impressions. A clairsentient may feel the physical pain of their husband’s sprained ankle, the grief of a person whose loved one has passed, or the bitterness of your friend who is going through a divorce.

Are You Clairsentient?Sometimes clairsentience doesn’t sound like rainbows and unicorns. Feeling the pain of your friend’s divorce sounds absolutely lousy. But our Higher Self, as well as trusted angels, spirit guides, and loved ones who have passed are the ones sending us information through our psychic abilities and intuitive gifts, so there’s no need to worry.

Physically and emotionally experiencing energy from people, places, and things feels draining. But you can control your clairsentience. Here are some ways to do that:

  1. Recognize people’s journeys.

When processing overwhelming feelings, it’s important to understand that every person is on their own journey, and you only feel or see a portion of it. You can’t fully know what they’re here to experience or learn, or why they’re going through what they’re going through.

  1. Monitor what you watch.

When developing and learning about your clairsentience, it’s important to learn what triggers your abilities. If you feel drained emotionally, don’t watch the news. Instead, choose entertaining programs that invite light or positivity into your space.

  1. Avoid emotional vampires.

Emotional vampires suck your energy. They complain endlessly about their troubles, but don’t take advice. They thrive on drama. As a clairsentient, you must limit the amount of time you spend with people like this. They can’t be helped, so it’s best to smile, send them some light, and get on with your day.

Developing Your Clairsentience

Developing your gift of clairsentience will increase your intuition and will allow you to better understand the information and messages you receive. Psychics are like snowflakes: no two are alike!

Here are some simple ways that you can begin to develop your clairsentient gifts:

  1. Use pictures.

Ask a friend to show you a photo of a person that they know well, but that you haven’t ever met. Focus on the eyes of the person in the photo and try to feel what they felt when the photo was taken. Consider if the person in the photo seems trustworthy, or if you think you could tell your friend to trust him or her. Then ask your friend how accurate your impressions were.

  1. Practice token-object reading.

People’s energy transfers to objects that they own. The more we use, wear, or treasure the item, the more of our energy gets transferred there.

Ask a friend to let you handle a personal item of theirs. While holding the object, try and sense the type of energy that it contains. Is it negative or positive energy? Then try to sense your friend’s energy.

It’s also possible to do this exercise on your own at a secondhand store. Handle items that you feel strong energy from, and try to sense information about the objects’ previous owners.

  1. Meditate.

Meditating will allow you to become more open to receiving intuitive information and messages. It’s the best way to develop psychic abilities.

And it’s easy. Just close your eyes, take some deep breaths, and focus on your clairsentience. Imagine that you’re receiving intuitive messages, and visualize yourself opening up your senses to receiving them. Picture yourself passing somebody and knowing things about their personality without them saying anything.

Clairsentience may sound intimidating. It’s easy to understand how people who have this gift can get overwhelmed! But with some understanding, practice, and patience, you’ll not only learn control of your clairsentience, you’ll embrace it!
